Handle Keyboard Events With JavaScript: jwerty
jwerty is a lightweight JavaScript library (1.5kb minified) that enables us to bind, fire and assert key combination strings against elements and events.
The library is very easy to use and has callbacks fired once a key combination is pressed to attach custom events.
It doesn't require any other JavaScript frameworks but compatible with jQuery, Zepto.js and Ender.

WordPress 3.3 Beta 1
WordPress 3.3 is ready for beta testers.
As always, this is software still in development and we don’t recommend that you run it on a production site — set up a test site just to play with the new version. If you break it (find a bug), please report it, and if you’re a developer, try to help us fix it.
If all goes well, we hope to release WordPress 3.3 by the end of November. The more help we get with testing and fixing bugs, the sooner we will be able to release the final version. If you want to be a beta tester, you should check out the Codex article on how to report bugs.
Here’s some of what’s new:
- Media uploader
- Improved admin bar
- Fly out admin menus
Remember, if you find something you think is a bug, report it! You can bring it up in the alpha/beta forum, you can email it to the wp-testers list, or if you’ve confirmed that other people are experiencing the same bug, you can report it on the WordPress Core Trac. (We recommend starting in the forum or on the mailing list.)
Theme and plugin authors, if you haven’t been following the 3.3 development cycle, please start now so that you can update your themes and plugins to be compatible with the newest version of WordPress.
And now, haiku.
Features almost done…
3.3 at Beta 1.
Test it now — have fun!
An Exciting Hosted-CMS For Easily Manageable Websites – Squarespace
Squarespace is a hosted content management system that empowers website owners and designers with tools to build websites (business, blogs, portfolio..) easily while removing the most annoying parts of the process.
First of all, there are lots of professionally designed templates (with each template having various style variants) to choose from which can be used "as is" or updated completely to suit your needs.
Websites are created, edited and managed while browsing them. With the help of an in-site editor, editing everything and adding new content (with images, videos, etc.) is a breeze.
And, if you already have a website built with one of the well-known blogging systems like WordPress, Blogger, MovableType or TypePad, Squarespace can import all the content (with comments) into your new website.
There are powerful widgets that can be inserted into any part of the web pages with few clicks. Some of these widgets are: site search, tag cloud, custom forms, links to social network accounts and much more.
Actually, social network integration deserves more words as it is possible to display latest tweets from your Twitter, images from Flickr or items from RSS feeds.
For photographers or anyone to showcase their portfolio, customizable photo galleries with Lightbox integration, hover effects and auto-image-resizing make sure the output is easily manageable and charming.
There is a built-in analytics engine that informs website owners with the most important metrics like visitors/pageviews, keywords, referrers, latest activity and more.
In order to manage a Squarespace website, you don't even have to be online with a desktop as, thanks to its iPhone, iPad and Android applications, the websites can be under control anytime, anywhere.
And, the complete platform is hosted in a high-quality cloud system which ensures that the website can handle any traffic and uptime is something not to worry about.
This website builder has different pricing plans that meets the requirements of standard-to-advanced systems and it can be tried free for 14 days.
As a note to web designers and agencies, multiple Squarespace websites can be controlled under the same account and there are discounts offered for such usage.
Info: This is a review of a paid application.

sdfsfThe GPU-Powered 2D Flash API – Starling Framework
Few days ago, Adobe has launched the Flash Player 11 which is a milestone for the product as the new Stage3D API that allows up to 1,000 times faster rendering compared to Flash Player 10.
It focuses on the 3D content and the widely-used 2D content won't be getting the advantages of this new feature.
Starling Framework, a pure ActionScript 3 library, aims to fill this gap by rendering all content through GPU.
The framework has a familiar API which makes it very easy to use for Flash developers. Even the live-Flash-websites can be improved with it just by exchanging the native Flash classes with their Starling equivalents.

Sooner or Later – Free Coming Soon Template For Your Next Project (Exclusive)

The template is simplistic, has an easy-to-update HTML code and displays a countdown timer for providing an exact launch date-time to visitors.
It makes use of the the Final Countdown plugin for jQuery and launch date can be defined very quickly.
There are also links for the most popular social networks: Facebook and Twitter, so the users can keep connected while the website is not ready.
License: Feel free to use it on any personal or commercial projects (no back links are required but please keep the attributes in the source). It is only not allowed to re-distribute template.
