CeraBox is a stable and easy-to-use Lightbox-alternative that is built with MooTools.
It can display images, SWF files or any other HTML + load iframes and make Ajax requests.
The script can group images to be presented as a gallery where they can be browsed with prev-next buttons.
And, title tags can be used to show extra information about each image.
As a last handy feature, CeraBox can be set to a fixed size or resize itself according to the sizes of the items being loaded.

Modular Grid Pattern is a website which enables you to create customizable grids in several ways.
The first one is a free Adobe Photoshop extension (CS5 compatible) provided which makes creating the grid directly inside the application possible.
Also, there is an online generator where you can mention baseline, gutter, module width/height, number of modules and the width of the layout where the application creates:

Info: This is a review of a paid application (free during beta).
Source code management is a "must" for any developer team working on the same project to get updated on any changes made to the code and make sure every change is backed up.
Springloops, the popular source code management platform has released the V2 of their product which is more powerful with a new user interface, Git integration (besides Subversion) and ticketing support.
The files for a project can be imported from a repository or as a zipped file. Also, they can be set as private or public.
The platform is an all-in-one for managing development projects as it has the features of a project management application as well (with milestones and tickets that can be assigned to users). And, it can integrate tightly with Basecamp.
Springloops has a very detailed knowledgebase that not only helps you get the basics of version control (if you're not experienced with it) but also covers answers to any possible questions regarding the service.
The V2 of the platform is currently in beta status and free-to-use with unlimited projects until it is out of beta. Simply, a good chance to give the service a try.

WordPress 3.0.5 is now available and is a security hardening update for all previous WordPress versions.
This security release is required if you have any untrusted user accounts, but it also comes with important security enhancements and hardening. All WordPress users are strongly encouraged to update.

The release addresses a number of issues and provides two additional enhancements:
Two moderate security issues were fixed that could have allowed a Contributor- or Author-level user to gain further access to the site.
One information disclosure issue was addressed that could have allowed an Author-level user to view contents of posts they should not be able to see, such as draft or private posts.
Two security enhancements were added. One improved the security of any plugins which were not properly leveraging our security API. The other offers additional defense in depth against a vulnerability that was fixed in previous release.
Thanks to Nils Jueneman and Saddy for their private and responsible disclosures to security@wordpress.org for two of the issues. The others were reported or repaired by our security team.
Download 3.0.5 or update automatically from the Dashboard > Updates menu in your site’s admin area. Please update immediately.
WordPress 3.1 Release Candidate 4 is also now available.
The Release Candidate 4 build includes the security fixes and enhancements included in 3.0.5 and addresses about two dozen additional bugs. This includes fixes for:
- Deleting a user and reassigning their posts to another user.
- Marking multiple users or sites as spam in multisite.
- PHP4 compatibility.
As outlined in previous RC posts, if you are testing the release candidate and think you’ve found a bug, there are a few ways to let us know:
To test WordPress 3.1, try the WordPress Beta Tester plugin (you’ll want “bleeding edge nightlies”). Or you can download the release candidate here (zip). If any new issues become known, you’ll be able to find them here.

jShowOff is a flexible jQuery plugin for rotating any type of HTML content which simply works by creating 'slides' from the child elements of a wrapper (like <li>s).
The output is fully customizable with options provided for setting auto play on/off, speed of the transitions, controls on/off, effects and more.

Clipperz, a free-to-use online password manager service, also has a free and open source version: Clipperz Community Edition for anyone preferring to host the application themselves.
The application can store any of your sensitive data like passwords, notes, PINs, etc. and can provide a one-click login to any website defined which is a time-saver.
When storing passwords online, security should be the first concern and Clipperz handles it by encrypting data locally before it is uploaded with the help of a passphrase that never gets sent or saved to the server (check their powerful JavaScript Crypto Library).
Users can dump their encrypted data from Clipperz to create a portable version or for offline usage.

AwesomeChartJS is an open source JavaScript library for creating charts using the HTML5 <canvas> tag.
The library is standalone (doesn't require any JS frameworks) and works very straightforward with an easy-to-use function.
It supports multiple chart types:
- vertical and horizontal bar charts
- pareto bar charts
- pie charts (whole or part)
- exploded pie charts
- ring/doughnut charts
It focuses on simplicity and doesn't offer too much for customization other than the title, chart type and labels. Yet, simplicity is sometimes all we ask for.
