vintageJS is a jQuery plugin that uses the HTML5 <canvas> element for adding a retro feel to images.

Columnal is a CSS framework which is a remix of the popular frameworks 960.gs and 1140px Grid with some improvements.
It is 1140px wide but fluid and focused on supporting desktop + mobile browsers using the same styles.
The framework comes with a built-in debugging CSS for displaying the structure of any pages being designed.

Agile Carousel is a jQuery plugin that allows us to create flexible (both in function and design) slideshows.
The plugin uses JSON for the data format of the slides. So, they can easily be provided remotely and integration with any other system (like CMSs) will be easier.
You can select between "fade" or "slide" as the transition effect, duration of the transitions and intervals between each slide can all be defined.
Slides can be set to be displayed with an "infinite scrolling" interface, navigation can be accomplished by "numbered buttons", "prev-next buttons" or any custom control.
With a simple function, it is also possible to get the total number of slides and the "current" slide displayed which would be handy when customizing it.
P.S. The plugin was previously shared at WRD, however, this is a totally re-written version and the old URLs are no longer available.

Holmes is a CSS stylesheet for diagnosing potentially invalid, inaccessible or erroneous HTML markup.
It works by adding a class to the <body> tag and highlights elements with:
- missing required attributes on tags, such as name attributes on inputs
- possibly improvable markup, such as links with href="#"
- deprecated and non-W3C elements – see W3C.org's article on obselete tags
- non-W3C attributes – as above, just the most important ones since there are oo much of them
When a highlighted item is hovered, an informative message explaining the "reason" is displayed.
And, there is also a bookmarklet provided which can activate Holmes for any website instantly.

Laker is an open sourced set of files, styles and tips for designing digital publications in HTML5 and converting them into iOS apps.
The project is actually a part of the final thesis of Florian Franke who decided to improve the Baker Framework (like adding "table of contents" and iPhone support) and released the experience + files for free.
It makes use of the Less Framework and can work in both iPhone or iPad in any orientation by resizing itself automatically.
Readers can swipe to change pages, double-tap to view the "table of contents" and use any media like sound, YouTube videos or images.

WordPress 3.1.2 is now available and is a security release for all previous WordPress versions.
This release addresses a vulnerability that allowed Contributor-level users to improperly publish posts.
The issue was discovered by a member of our security team, WordPress developer Andrew Nacin, with Benjamin Balter.
We suggest you update to 3.1.2 promptly, especially if you allow users to register as contributors or if you have untrusted users. This release also fixes a few bugs that missed the boat for version 3.1.1.
Download 3.1.2 or update automatically from the Dashboard → Updates menu in your site’s admin area.
