Plivo is an open source communication framework for creating voice-based apps which can make or receive calls from phones (fixed, mobile or SIP), Skype and Gtalk.
With a REST-based API (has XML responses) and ready-to-use helper libraries (for Java, PHP, Python and Ruby), developing apps like IVRs or voicemails is pretty simple.
Plivo is built on the open source telephony platform FreeSWITCH and the process simply works as:
- FreeSWITCH answering or making the call
- call parameters (like the ID and number) are sent as POST parameters
- the app can send new variables (commands) -like playing an MP3 or reading a text- anytime
- and Plivo returns callbacks on every level.
The framework is very impressive for anyone willing to run such features from their own infrastructure.

Inserting Google Maps into web pages is already easy with the simplicity Google offers in all of their products.
However, things can get easier with GMAP3 jQuery plugin if you are planning to use maps with advanced features (like overlays or callbacks).
There are simplified functions provided for the popular uses of Google Maps API that would normally require much more coding like:
getAddress – which returns a google.maps.GeocoderResult from a google.maps.LatLnggetRoute – which returns a google.maps.DirectionsResult from a google.maps.DirectionsRequest
It is also possible to use the native Google maps functions within the plugin for maximum flexibility.

Normalize.css is a set of CSS rules for forcing HTML elements to render more consistently across all browsers.
Compared to CSS resets, it doesn't reset all elements but leave the useful defaults and fixes various bugs.
The CSS file includes rules for a wide range of elements including the ones for HTML5 and well-documented (inline).
