Joshfire is an open source framework for developing web applications that can work in multiple devices.
It only uses HTML5 + JavaScript and web apps can be built to be compatible with browsers, desktops, smart phones, smartTVs and connected objects.
The content, design and data is separated for a flexible development process and the framework makes use of many popular resources like MediaElement.js or Zepto.js.
Currently, supported devices are desktop browsers, iOS, Android, GoogleTV, SamsungTV and there is an adapter for Node.js as well.
Applications can be controlled with keyboard, mouse, touch, tv-remote and more depending on the capabilities of the device.
The library is improved continuously, documented in detail and comes with various examples.

Paper.js is an open source and "JavaScript + HTML5 canvas-powered" vector graphics scripting framework.
Besides being a wrapper for the "canvas", it has much more to offer like working with nested layers, groups, paths, compound paths, rasters, symbols, etc.
These items are handled and drawn automatically by Paper.js so you can focus on styling and/or modifying them.
It tries to use the code smartly for faster execution and less CPU usage.
The framework has methods for mouse and keyboard interaction. And, it has the well-known blend modes from Illustrator and Photoshop with JS emulation like: multiply, screen, overlay, soft-light, hard-light, color-burn, darken, lighten, hue, saturation, luminosity, color and more.

WordPress 3.1.4 is available now and is a maintenance and security update for all previous versions.
This release fixes an issue that could allow a malicious Editor-level user to gain further access to the site. Thanks K. Gudinavicius of SEC Consult for bringing this to our attention. Version 3.1.4 also incorporates several other security fixes and hardening measures thanks to the work of WordPress developers Alexander Concha and Jon Cave of our security team. Consult the change log for more details.
Download WordPress 3.1.4 or update immediately from the Dashboard → Updates menu in your site’s admin area.
WordPress 3.2 Release Candidate 3
This release was about all that stood in the way of a final release of WordPress 3.2. So we’re also announcing the third release candidate for 3.2, which contains all of the fixes in 3.1.4; few minor RTL, JavaScript, and user interface fixes; and ensures graceful failures if 3.2 is run on PHP4. As a reminder, we’ve bumped our minimum requirements for version 3.2 to PHP 5.2.4 and MySQL 5.0.
To test WordPress 3.2, try the WordPress Beta Tester plugin (you’ll want “bleeding edge nightlies”). Or you can download the release candidate here (zip). At this stage, plugin authors should be doing final tests to ensure compatibility.

Mobilizer, a free Adobe AIR application, displays previews of any given URL or local files (HTML, image or Flash) inside multiple mobile devices.
It currently supports iPhone 4, Palm Pre, HTC Evo, + Blackberry Storm and more devices are to-be-added soon.
The previews doesn't have to be one-by-one and each device-preview can be opened as separate windows for an easier comparison.
Also, the previews can be exported as .PNG files which is very handy.

In a web where the huge portion of the content is created by communities and users, Question & Answer websites became very popular.

What is Answerbase?

We have all seen applications that enable us to find the song name or the artist by simply playing a small part of that song.
Echoprint is an open source resource that makes this possible and easy-to-integrate into any website/application.
It is a music identification system which listens to music signals, compares them with the ones in its database (of 150,000+ items) and tells you what song is playing.
The system has 3 parts:
- code generator which converts the audio data into a unique code
- server (Apache-based) which responds to the queries made with the generated code
- data which includes hashes of 150,000+ songs
You can choose to run your own server or Echoprint already hosts one where you can send queries to (using code generator is still needed).
P.S. There is also an Echonest PHP API for easily reaching the datastored.

While inspecting and editing a CSS file, it is not easy to understand which HEX value represents which color.
CSS Prism is a web-based CSS color spectrum inspector that loads the colors used in a CSS file as a grid and shows us in which rules they exist.
The application also enables us to edit the colors with a color-picker and download the edited CSS file.
CSS Prism is very useful for easily viewing the color palette and making sure it is consistent.
Besides inserting the URLs of CSS files manually, a bookmarklet is provided that eases this process.
