Although listing the contents of a directory is not a good practice for most of the websites (considering the complete structure and files will be available to the public eyes), it is an easy way to show and share files.
The default Apache directory listing/index page is not the most handsome one and h5ai is a template built specifically to improve these pages.
Its is built with HTML5 Boilerplate, jQuery + Modernizr and can be implemented with few steps: "copy folder h5ai to the web-root directory of your server and update the .htaccess file".
There is a list of options provided inside a JavaScript file and, best of all, the output can be presented in multiple languages with the strings being defined inside that JS file.

As we complete speaker selection for the annual WordPress conference (a.k.a. WordCamp San Francisco), it’s clear that even though there were more than 200 speaker applications, many great WordCamp speakers did not apply. No fear! We will seek them out to make sure that WordCamp SF has a fantastic lineup, including people who didn’t apply (too shy? who knows?) but have wowed local crowds at previous WordCamps.
This is about as basic a survey as there is. Tell us the three best WordCamp presentations you saw in the past year or so. For each, give the presenters name, the topic (exact title not necessary) and which WordCamp it was at (important).
Example:

CanvasLoader is a JavaScript UI library for drawing and animating circular preloaders with HTML5 canvas.
Using a simple function, a canvas element (loader) is created inside a placeholder div and multiple instances can be created at the same page.
There are few different loader types supported and they can be customized in many ways like color, density, speed, diameter, fading, FPS and scaling. Also, functions exist for getting the values of each parameter.
Optionally, a web-based creator helps building the loader image by setting the values, previewing the output and downloading the HTML file.

Similar to the The Wall plugin for MooTools that was shared few days ago, Mosaiqy is a jQuery plugin for presenting images in a Mosaic-like grid interface.
The images are displayed inside randomly moving columns and rows where CSS3 transitions are used for the animations.
Once a thumbnail is clicked, the original version is loaded inside the grid with a nice slideIn/Out effect.
It retrieves images from a JSON/JSONP data source which makes integrating with image hosting services pretty easy and there are already demos for Flickr, Instagram and Panoramio.
Mosaiqy has multiple configuration options like the speed of transitions, delay between each, number of columns/rows, looping on/off and more.
