Stitcher.io: New in PHP 7.4
On the Sticher.io blog Brendt has written up a guide looking forward to PHP's next major release and what's planned to be included in PHP 7.4.
PHP 7.4 will probably be released somewhere December 2019. This page will receive regular updates meanwhile.
In the current version of the page (as of this post) it includes details on the following:
- Preloading
- Typed properties
- Improved type variance
- Null Coalescing Assignment Operator
- Foreign Function Interface
- ext-hash always enabled
For each item in the list he links over to the related RFC on the PHP wiki and provides a brief summary (sometimes with code) of what the feature provides.
