A release candidate (RC) means we think we’re done, but with millions of users and thousands of plugins and themes, it’s possible we’ve missed something. In fact, we did miss some things in RC1 and RC2. This third release candidate was not originally scheduled, but due a number of defects uncovered through your testing of RC2 (thank you!), we are putting out another 4.9 release candidate.
We hope to ship WordPress 4.9 on Tuesday, November 14 (that’s tomorrow) at 23:00 UTC, but we still need your help to get there. If you haven’t tested 4.9 yet, now is the time! If there are additional defects uncovered through testing between now and the release time, we may delay the 4.9 release to the following day.
To test WordPress 4.9, you can use the WordPress Beta Tester plugin or you can download the release candidate here (zip).
We’ve made just over 20 changes since releasing RC2 last week (as we did between RC1 and RC2). For more details about what’s new in version 4.9, check out the Beta 1, Beta 2, Beta 3, Beta 4, RC1, and RC2 blog posts. A few specific areas to test in RC3:

Emirates on Monday confirmed that its first two Boeing 777-300ER aircraft fitted with its soon-to-launch First Class product will operate from Dubai to the airline’s Belgian and Swiss destinations starting from December 1, 2017.
Prior to entering commercial service, the first Emirates aircraft to feature the new private suites will be on display at the Dubai Airshow between November 12-16, following a product reveal on the first day of the show.
Operating one of the two daily flights from Dubai to Geneva, travellers can enjoy the new product on flight EK083 departing Dubai at 1450 hours, arriving in Geneva at 1855 hours. The return flight EK084 leaves Geneva at 2040 hours, arriving back at Dubai International Airport at 0605 hours the following day. For travellers heading to or from Belgium, the new product will be available on flight EK183 which leaves Dubai at 0820 hours, arriving in Brussels at 1245 hours. The return flight EK184 leaves Brussels at 1435 hours, arriving at Emirates Terminal Three in Dubai at 0015 hours the following day.

Nine inbound planes to Kuwait International Airport were diverted to nearby airports today due to heavy fog, the Civil Aviation Authority Public Administration said on Tuesday.
The administration told Kuwait News Agency, KUNA, that weather conditions improved after 8:30am local time, and inbound flights returned to normal, adding that the nine diverted planes in the early hours this morning landed in Dubai, Bahrain, and Dammam, and the flights are going to be rescheduled for later in the day.

A Palestinian demolished parts of his own house in Al Bustan neighborhood in Silwan town, south of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, under pressure from the Israeli Municipality in Jerusalem, which threatened to demolish it and make him pay all the costs involved which are very high.
The house of Dweik is 80 meters long and the municipality has notified him of demolishing 60 meters of land under the pretext that it was built without a permit, and that he will have to pay for the demolition costs unless he demolishes it himself.
According to Wafa News Agency, Palestinians are forced to build on their property in East Jerusalem without permits because the Israeli municipality does not provide them with building permits in an effort to keep the Palestinian population in the occupied city to a minimum while increasing its Jewish population through building thousands of Israeli-only housing units in dozens of illegal settlements in and around the holy city.

Occupation Forces raided a number of houses in al-Azzeh refugee camp in the north of Bethlehem. They also distributed notes threatening Palestinians in Tuqu’ town east of Bethlehem. They detained two young Palestinians aged 20 and 18 years from the town after storming into their homes and searching them. The force also raided the town’s mayor house and left notices warning Palestinians of making their life like hell if stones are thrown at Israeli settlers cars passing by their town.
According to WAFA News Agency, Israeli forces detained three minors and two men from Hebron city, in addition to a 51-year-old man and another 21-year-old from the town of Yatta, south of Hebron. Another Yatta resident was detained at an army checkpoint.
A large army force raided Beit Umar town north of Hebron and searched homes where it also detained a 19-year-old Palestinian.
In nearby Walajeh, east of Bethlehem, forces detained a 17-year-old minor after raiding and searching his family home.
