jQuery.fracs, an impressive jQuery plugin, lets us detect the part of an HTML element that is currently in the viewport, the fraction it takes of the complete viewport and the rest that may be visible.
Also, it can get the coordinates of the visible rectangle in document, element and viewport space.
There is a very original feature provided that can generate (with HTML5 canvas) the outline of any given element and its contents where this outline is clickable and can help users to browse easily.
And, there are several other functions which makes working with the viewport and coordinates easily like softLink that converts all selected page internal links (<a href="#…">) into soft links.

This class can embed video and images from remote sites.
It takes the URL of a page in a remote site that may have images or video and sends HTTP requests to that site to retrieve details about that media like the title, description, size and thumbnail images.
The class can also generate HTML to embed the given remote site images or videos in the current site page.
Currently the class supports retrieving information and embedding media of sites like YouTube, Vimeo, Facebook, DailyMotion, MySpace, MetaCafe, Revver, FiveMin, Clickthrough, DotSub, Revision 3, VideoJug, Blip, Viddler, Screener, SlideShare, Qik, Flickr, FunnyOrDie, TwitPic and YFrog.

Opa is a web development platform that is mostly focused on scalability, easy deployment to the cloud, security and a faster coding process to create apps.
It consists of the following which are tightly integrated into each other:
- a new programming language
- a new web server
- a new database
- a new distributed execution engine
Opa is a little different most other programming languages around considering the integrity it has. There is no need to deal with any other software, server or language (even SQL or JavaScript). Just Opa.
Out of the box, the platform has everything for scaling of storage, transactions and how they are served. It handles them automatically by using minimum resources.
Opa is currently available for Mac OS X and Linux, however, Windows support is under development. It is also very well-documented.
P.S. Although a new language usually looks hard (or unnecessary) for any developer, Opa is definitely worth checking out.
