The La Liga leaders are expected to make a move for Griezmann next summer when his buyout clause at Atletico Madrid drops to €100m, Sky Sports reports. According to the report, Barca are already planning for the arrival of the Frenchman by reserving their No.7 shirt, which is now vacant following the departure of Arda Turan to Istanbul Basaksehir. Barcelona have released a statement, denying media reports that they have struck a secret deal to sign Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann.
Several Spanish newspapers reported that an agreement with Griezmann has been reached, but Barca have refuted the claim. An Emirati youth died after his car rammed another vehicle and then crashed into a lamppost in Ras Al Khaimah on Saturday afternoon. Such was the impact of the accident that the car burst into flames.
The victim, identified as M.M., burned to death in the accident that was reported on the Ghalila road in the Shaam area.
After being alerted of the accident, the central operations room of the RAK Police dispatched police patrols and paramedics to the site.
“The victim, 19, died on the spot after he lost control over the car he was driving at a high speed, hit another car driven by an Arab driver, veered of the road, and rammed into a lamppost,” said Brigadier Dr Mohammed Saeed Al Humaidi, director-general of the central operations department.
The accident was also blamed on the driver of the other car. “He erroneously entered the road without making sure it was clear first.”
