Fount is a free-to-use bookmarklet that instantly identifies fonts used in a web page.
Once activated, just click on any text and it displays the font name, size and weight in a growl-like notification.
It doesn't requires re-activation and any number of text can be clicked repeatedly. For disabling it, clicking the bookmarklet is enough.
Fount is a useful and tiny companion for typography inspiration and works in all major browsers.

Smashing Magazine has recently shared a very nice set of free vector icons named August Interactive Icon Pack.
The set is focused on web UI design and includes items like arrows, actions, media player, download icons and more to ease creating such interfaces.
They are designed with Adobe Fireworks and exported as an editable + layered Photoshop file.
Download package consists of the PSD file, Fireworks PNG file and transparent PNGs for each icon.

For creating a highly animated banner, Flash is probably still the best solution. However, it is not completely supported anymore; some users prefer not to install it and the popular iOS doesn't have it at all.
So, creating fallbacks for Flash banners is a very good idea to make sure you display a visual for everyone and, LazyFallback -a free Adobe AIR application- handles this process well.
By simply drag 'n' dropping any number of SWF files to the application, it generates JPG alternatives for each of them quickly.
LazyFallback is a simple application which doesn't have many setting and only 2: defining the moment of the Flash animation for fallback generation and quality of JPGs.
P.S. What would possibly be better is the ability to get animated GIFs besides the JPGs.

Swipe JS is a lightweight (3.7kb minified) mobile slider with 1:1 touch movement (sliding content based on exact touch position).
It can display any HTML content and offers a native-like experience with features like:
- resistant bounds (increased resistance to slide when there are no items to display next or before)
- smart resizing on rotation as the slider resets to make sure the sliding elements are sized right
- the size of each slide is set with the width of the container which is useful for passing different widths on responsive designs
- detecting if you’re trying to scroll down the page or slide the content left to right
Swipe is a standalone slider which doesn't rely on any JavaScript library and has few configuration options like:
- the slide to be displayed on initial load
- speed of transitions
- auto slideshow to be on/off
- and callback fired after successfully displaying a slide
Also, it has API methods for custom interactions including the display of prev-next items and getting the current position.

CoolCarousels is a showcase of 20+ image sliders and carousels with each having a different look and functionality.

Spine Mobile is a JavaScript framework, built on top of SpineJS, for building mobile web apps that look and feel native.
The framework comes with specialized controllers, panel layout, hardware accelerated transitions and touch events.

While working on a CSS file, we usually need to refresh the web page each time a new style is added or edited to see how it looks.

Etherpad is an open source application for working on the same document in real-time with any number of users.
It is a web-based word processor that has formatting options, supports infinite undos and can import/export documents from/to multiple formats.
Each document gets a unique URL and users can simply go to that URL to start collaborating.
Users working on the same document can see each other's updates instantly, can chat with a built-in messenger.
The application has 2 versions, full and lite, where the full version comes as a debian package and the lite version completely based on Node.js (which is much easier to deploy).
There is also an API provided for easily interacting with the application and wrappers in multiple scripting languages are created for it.
