New Free Video Converter (Transcoder): Convert Movies between Different Formats
A new video converter has been added to the Free Video Converters or Transcoders page. This program can rip (ie, copy to your computer) unencrypted DVDs and BluRays as well as convert video files to different formats. For those wondering why you might want to do this, some people do it so that they can view a show on a different device (eg a tablet computer) or to make it more convenient to handle as a single, smaller file (instead of, say, a DVD).
